Today I went to a café to meet a friend.

I ordered a hot americano.
친구는 달콤한 케이크도 먹고 싶어 했어요.
My friend also wanted to eat a sweet cake.
카페가 조용해서 이야기하기 좋았어요.
The café was quiet, so it was good for talking.
우리는 두 시간 동안 수다를 떨었어요.
We chatted for two hours.
다음에 또 같이 오기로 했어요.
We decided to come together again next time.

~고 싶어 하다
(someone) wants to ~

My sibling wants to sleep.
Use ~고 싶다 for yourself ('I want to'), but ~고 싶어 하다 when talking about someone else's wish.
