Indirect (reported) speech is used to relay what someone said. Statements take '-dago hada', questions '-nyago hada', suggestions '-jago hada', and commands '-(eu)rago hada'.

Reporting statements: -dago hada

Verbs report with '-n/neundago', adjectives with '-dago', and nouns with '-(i)rago'.

Tense and person shifts

Indirect speech keeps the original tense but shifts person to the speaker's viewpoint: 'I' becomes 'jagi/geu', and negative commands become '-ji mallago'.
