Type 4: Grasping Details in a Short Text
In this lesson, you will learn to read a short text and choose the statement that matches it. You need to read the details precisely.
Solving Strategy
1) Read the answer choices first. 2) Check the time, place, and people in the text. 3) Anything not stated in the text cannot be the answer.
The facts you can confirm from the text: the writer went to Busan, was there with a friend, and ate raw fish.
Note that the party is at home. Saying it is at a restaurant would be wrong.
This person usually exercises every day but did not yesterday. Pay attention to the word "but."
π‘ Tip: After "but" or "however," the opposite idea follows. Such words are often the key to the answer.
Avoiding Trap Choices
Wrong choices reuse the text's words but twist the meaning slightly. Watch numbers, times, and negatives like "an" and "mot" especially closely.
| Trap Type | Romanization | Check |
